Woman is beheaded after jumping to her death in front of shocked wedding guests in Manhattan
An elderly woman jumped to her death from a high-rise Manhattan facade full of shocked wedding guests – and was decapitated when her body crashed into the side of the building on the way down.
The unidentified 81-year-old jumped to his death from the 28th floor of the luxury Park Regis Apartments on New York’s Upper East Side around 3:30 PM on Saturday, the NYPD told DailyMail.com.
According to a local news source, a wedding was held at a church in Carnegie Hill at the time Location Upper East.
Shocked witnesses recalled the moment she was beheaded after being pinned to railings and balconies on the side of the building.
“I just stopped as she was laying there, she had no head,” a resident of the building told police New York Post on Saturday. ‘The head and arm were cleanly severed on the other side, they ended up on the terrace.’

They added that a fence at the bottom of the apartment was bent by the impact and the woman’s clothes were stuck to it.
“The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death,” the NYPD said in a statement.
‘The investigation is still ongoing.
“The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper notification to the family.”
It comes after film industry mogul J. Michael Cline jumped to his death from the 20th floor of a luxury hotel in Midtown Manhattan earlier this year.
The 64-year-old co-founder of movie ticket company Fandango jumped from the Kimberly Hotel in July and landed in a third-floor courtyard.
His business had struggled during the pandemic, with movie theaters forced to close or face restrictions on the number of viewers allowed for nearly two years.
Cline, who was a “serious entrepreneur” and managing partner at startup financing company Accretive, is said to have left a note before taking his own life.
