A woman is stabbed in the head in a horror early morning incident in the inside Sydney outskirts of Pyrmont.
The emergency services were called to a complex of a unit on Bowman Street on Sunday at about 4.50 am.
When they came to the scene, police officers were told that a man reportedly forced access to unity and had stabbed a 41-year-old woman before he left.
She was treated on the spot by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the hospital in a stable state.
The police are looking for the man who is believed to be known to the woman.
Another woman and two children were also at home at the time, were not injured.
The police have one crime Scene and started an investigation into the incident.
