That’s why she decided to convert the closet, which is less than a square meter, into a home office.

In a video On TikTok, Bessie showed off what the closet looked like in advance, filled with makeup, nail polish and other junk.

And she referenced the episode of Friends in which Monica, who is known for her clean and tidy appearance, revealed that she had a closet full of clutter.

“Could this be the smallest office in the world?” Bessie captioned the video.

“Well, I claim it!

“Okay… you’re probably wondering why I decided to convert my Monica closet into the SMALLEST office you’ve ever seen, but the simple answer is… I didn’t have an office anywhere else!

“I was tired of working at my dining table, so I decided to convert this cabinet into a beautiful (but small!) workspace!”

Bessie began the room transformation by emptying the closet, removing its contents and the cabinets inside.

She then cut a piece of MDF into a semi-circle shape to fill in the entrance, before painting everything.

She then wallpapered the back room and added a desk, lamp, gold accessories and an office chair.

My hallway was an 80s horror with bright red carpets and a floral ceiling – now it looks gorgeous thanks to a few purchases from B&Q

“Now I can close the door at the end of the workday and leave work at work,” she concluded.

And people in the comments were quick to praise her for the transformation. One wrote: “What the hell is this Harry Potter?!”

“This is so cute but I would definitely roll back and move!” laughed another.

To which Bessie replied, “That’s what I thought!”

“There is a bit of an edge to the edge and I’m going to add another bit just to be sure, a little bit higher.”

“I have this exact closet and need some inspiration!!!” wrote a third.

The Style Sisters’ Top 3 Decluttering Tips

Charlotte Reddington and Gemma Lilly have over 15 years of experience decluttering and organizing celebrity homes…

  • Out with the old, before the new comes in

“It may sound a bit ruthless, but a ‘one in, one out’ rule in your home and wardrobe can be effective in preventing overstocking,” the researchers said.

“It can also make you think more consciously about the purchases you make.”

“In any space, no matter how big or small – from a utility room to your makeup kit – organizing items by category is the perfect way to stay super organized,” they said.

“This way you know exactly where everything is and what you have.

“It also makes it a lot easier for the rest of the household to tidy up and keep everything tidy.”

  • Storage, storage and more storage!

“Storage is essential, especially if space is limited in the home or if the room is used for storing children’s toys, for example,” the researchers said.

“Think of decorative storage baskets, dressers with plenty of storage space or even a media wall or bookshelves with doors.”

“Can you give me some tips on how you did this/what the costs are?

“How did you know if it could hold the weight or not?”

Bessie then answered all the questions as she said, “I checked with the home builder, but also cut a large hole in the drywall so I could look in it myself to check and make sure (it sounds dramatic, but it’s an easy fix).

“I already had a desk top from an old project, so I bought tall desk legs on Amazon and installed them myself.

Warning

IF you want to transform a cabinet that is not at floor level, it is important to first check its load-bearing capacity.

Check to see if there are any joists under the floor to do this.

And if you’re unsure, consult a contractor before attempting the work yourself.

“The chair is from Beliani and the shelves are from JYSK (£5 in the sale). I made them to size myself.”

She also paid £80 to an electrician to install the light and a double socket.

“It was actually a bargain for what he did, but this was probably the biggest prize,” said Bessie, who also has an impressive following on Instagramadded.

“The carpet was leftover material and free.”
