Woman shows off tiny house – where her bed ‘swallows up the living room’
TINY homes may not be to everyone’s taste, but one woman has really made the most of her small space — even if it means she can’t stand up straight.
Bresha Jeanae lives in a cozy house, where she often has to crawl or bend over to reach her bed.
While not all rooms in her home have low ceilings, her bedroom is only 4 feet 10 inches high, making movement quite difficult.
The low ceiling in her bedroom means there’s no room for a full bed frame or the usual bedroom furniture.
But Bresha, who is from Houston, Texas, still managed to make her room cozy and inviting with a few charming touches, like soft linens and cute nightstands.
Technically it is possible to raise the roof, but for Bresha this is not feasible at the moment.
She also made sure that there is a kitchen, bathroom and dressing room downstairs.
On her TikTok page @breshajeanaeshe shared a video giving an “honest” tour of her home.
In the video she explains that she wants to show her followers what her room looks like with a 0.5 lens (which allowed her to capture the entire room at once) and without.
She says, “I live in a small house.
“I just realized I’ve never shown the little house without using the 0.5 lens.”
Bresha continues: “Okay, here’s the living room with the 0.5 lens and without.
“Wow, that really is a huge difference.”
She then shows the stairs, the kitchen, the bathroom, the back room and the loft leading to the loft, with and without the 0.5 lens.
She tells her viewers: “I hope you now understand why I refuse to put my bed here.
“My bed is queen size and would literally take up this entire room.
I could, but I don’t know. [I don’t know] I like the loft

“I could barely walk anywhere.
“Hopefully this helps you to realistically see how big the tiny house actually is. It is 399 square feet.
“I feel like the videos with the 0.5 lens make it look a lot bigger than it actually is.”
Many people responded en masse to the comments to share their thoughts.
Someone wrote: “If you said you had to move into that room, that’s your storage space, how about you put a bed on the wall that could be lifted up when you didn’t need it?”
But Bresha replied, “I can, but I’m not sure.” [I don’t know] “I like the loft.”
Another complimented her abode, writing, “I think it’s so beautiful.”
While someone else said: “Thank you for sharing your journey to your tiny home with us.”
Despite the size of her home, a fourth wrote: “It’s still beautiful!”
And another fan reassured her by adding: “Your house is working. Don’t worry about it [it].”
Why I Could Never Live in a Tiny House
Tiny homes are becoming increasingly popular in the UK, especially at a time when the cost of living is falling and first-time home buyers are struggling to afford a home or current homeowners are having to pay ridiculously high mortgage rates.
Rebecca Miller, deputy editor of Fabulous, shared why she thinks living in a tiny house is a nightmare.
“I am currently in the process of selling my apartment and buying a house. As I pack all my stuff, I am worried about where it will all go – there is so much stuff!
Fortunately, I have the privilege of purchasing a house with more square footage than my current apartment.
But I started to wonder if I would ever be able to live in a small space. And the answer is no.
- Less personal space
Living with another person immediately reduces personal space, but if you take away multiple rooms, I’m left with just the bathroom as my sanctuary. I’m not sure I could do that!
- Less storage space
I’m like a magpie, I like to collect beautiful thingsand I like my stuff to be organized. With limited storage space I would really struggle to keep everything neat and tidy.
- Cannot play host
One of the joys of being an independent adult is being able to entertain guests – friends, family, sleepovers, and dinner parties. Where would I gather everyone for Sunday lunch if my table only holds two people? And how would I cook Sunday lunch?
- No room to grow
Both as an individual, as part of a couple and also my hobbies, can be limited by physical space. When I first moved into my apartment I was thrilled to have my own balcony, and it is a place where my love of gardening has grown. Five years later my balcony is now full of plants, and I have had to put a mini propagator in the living room!
