Women over 50 do not have a midlife crisis – they embrace their ‘midlife glow’

The ambitions of the women of more than 50 of Great -Britain have been unveiled – since seven in ten glow a midlife – with starting a company, seeing the Northern Lights, getting a tattoo and writing a novel on the list.

Researchers asked women older than 50 what they would like to experience and achieve – with traveling as the most important thing.

In fact, it was the Northern Lights at the top of the list of the list (54 percent), while 48 percent dream of traveling on the Orient Express and 31 percent wish to visit Niagara Falls.

In view of this, it makes sense that 30 percent want to learn a new language – with 18 percent even wants to move to another country.

Some want to stay closer to home, with 19 percent who just wants to create the perfect garden.

And while the medal of novels (18 percent), starting companies (10 percent) and volunteering (16 percent) made the list – a thunderous 27 percent said they would just want to be financially independent.

The study, which interrogates 2,000 British women over 50, suggests that they crave adventure, independence and new experiences-so that almost three-quarters (73 percent) believe that this chapter is now a ‘mid-life glowing’, instead of ‘crisis’.

Two -thirds (61 percent) say that they also found a new view of life in the 1950s, while three -quarters (74 percent) now feel more satisfied with life than when they were younger.

Less worries about what others think (56 percent), the changing priorities (54 percent) change, realizing what really matters (54 percent), wanting to concentrate more in themselves (36 percent) and having more free time (31 percent) were reasons to feel more self -confidence.

It is therefore no surprise that almost two -thirds (61 percent) believe that women older than 50 are now more active and more adventurous than previous generations, with 11 percent who wants to get a tattoo.

According to the findings, almost half (48 percent) of the older women actively put money away.

Monna Patel, Operations Manager at Saving Service Ford Money, who commissioned the research, said: ‘The results clearly show that life in your 1950s and 60s is not about closing like previous stereotypes.

“The current generation of women embrace this chapter with real ambition, aimed at goals such as traveling, buying real estate and achieving financial freedom.”

‘For many, putting money aside is the key to unlock these exciting ambitions.

“It’s not just a safety net; It is the essential fuel that gives us the freedom to live exactly how we choose.

‘Although it is great that many are confident and that they can finance their dreams, it is also important to support that trust with a plan.

“Actively thinking about those larger goals and weaving them into our finances every month is how we make them a reality.”
