Woolworths has flustered shoppers by bringing back an iconic kid’s treat with a clever twist.
Slush Puppies were a much-loved icy drink that first appeared in milk bars and convenience stores four decades ago. They quickly became a staple in school cafeterias and fish and chip shops.
But now the Australian supermarket giant is selling pouches of the nostalgic treat, sparking a wave of excitement among adults across the country.
The 250ml pouches, which cost $3 each, come in three flavors: grape, strawberry, and the most iconic choice, blue raspberry.

Woolworths has put shoppers in trouble by bringing back Slush Puppies in pouch form
TikToker star Tylah Hill was one of the first to share the news and rock social media with a video uploaded Wednesday.
“Does anyone remember Slush Puppies as a kid?” he asked.
“They just put them out at Woolies as sachets, three flavors to choose from. I haven’t had them in years!’

The reveal, which has been viewed more than 23,000 times since it was shared online, sparked a wave of elation.
“I remember the milk bar across the street from my high school had them. Every lunch the line was out the door! Everyone has one!’ one person wrote.
A second added: ‘Oh mate, they were the shiz.’
One woman said her son was such a diehard fan that he got a Slush Puppy tattooed on his arm.
But others were less impressed, with one man saying he was abandoned after racing to try the new product.
“No, the pouches are dirty, I was so disappointed because Slush Puppies are so good,” he wrote.
