‘Works like a charm!’ says woman as she shares airport trick for ‘overpacked girls’
THERE’S nothing worse than checking in for your flight and realizing you’ve packed too much.
You either have to unpack and throw away your belongings yourself, or you have to pay a (often exorbitant) amount to cover the overpayment.
But one woman claims she’s found the best travel trick that “always works.”
To trust went to TikTok to share her clever trick, which saw herself and a friend happily carrying reusable £1 Boots bags alongside their bags.
“Travel tip – take a second plastic bag full of stuff and buy a bag from Boots/dutyfree at the airport so people think you only bought stuff at the airport!” she wrote at the top of the video.
The clip was then shown in one of the bags, which contained another plastic bag stuffed with all sorts of stuff.
“This is one for my overpacked girls…” Faith wrote alongside the video.
“Always works perfectly – I’ve never had to pay for a second bag!”
But the comments section quickly filled with people who felt Faith should have kept the secret hack a secret.
“Stop telling people, you’re ruining it for the people who’ve been doing it for years!” someone shouted.
“Please don’t make our secrets public,” said another.
As a third wrote: “Now the airlines will find out and check the excess baggage!
“Shouldn’t have posted it – keep it a secret!”
However, others admitted that they had been using the hack for years to take more stuff for free.
“I’ve been doing this for years. Always works!” someone wrote.
“Never had any problems getting past Ryanair!”
“I’ve been doing this for years, it even works with EasyJet and Ryanair!” said another.
“I did this last week for Ibiza!!” admitted a third.
Everything you need to know before boarding a plane
“That’s the best hack,” said someone else.
As another wrote: “I love finding my fellow travel criminals!”
“I’ve been doing this for years and it always works,” someone else insisted.
“Me with a WHS bag. Every. Single. Time,” laughed another.
While someone else tagged their friend and wrote: “The fact that we thought we were being so clever and innovative with this hack turns out so many people are doing it!”
“This is ULTIMATE girl math,” praised another.
