Judd can’t sleep on it

Judd Trump says he is sleeping well – but he may not enjoy the silence before tonight’s storm.

The World No. 1 knows that Mark Williams only needs four frames to reach the final, from tomorrow.

Trump said before Williams changed an overnight stay 8-8 score to a 13-11 lead: “I sleep well here. It is very, very tiring.

“I normally sleep straight on for about nine hours.

“Because it is so hectic around Sheffield, I don’t really get out of my room. I try to stay away from everyone.

“Save my energy that way. It is important that I work a little gym here and there, just to stay healthy.”

WST -Statement

Snooker fans have been denied a repayment despite no game on Saturday afternoon at The Crucible.

Zhao Xintong’s commander 17-7 victory over Ronnie O’Sullivan was completed on Friday evening with a session.

An exhibition with Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor, 40 years after the victory of the last in their famous ‘Black-Ball Final’ took place instead.

But the WST was forced to give a statement after fans had sustained the decision not to distribute any refunds.
