WWE SummerSlam 2024: When it starts and how to watch the pro wrestling event

WWE’s SummerSlam, the company’s biggest summer event, will have viewers in a stranglehold on Cleveland on Saturday. This year marks the 37th anniversary of professional wrestling’s premium live event.

WWE is keeping the stakes high as a series of key players are set to battle for supremacy in their ranks. Viewers have a stacked card to look forward to, with a total of seven matches, six of which are championship matches.

Among the bouts: Cody Rhodes defends his undisputed WWE championship belt against Solo Sikoa; Damian Priest takes on Gunther to defend his world heavyweight title; Bayley defends her title against Nia Jax; and Rhea Ripley takes on Liv Morgan for the women’s world championship.

Notably, CM Punk will make his triumphant return to the ring after tearing his triceps earlier this year. He will face rival Drew McIntyre in the only non-championship match. Punk’s appearance at this SummerSlam will mark his first televised singles match for the company in 10 years.
