Xiaomi recently introduced a new “Battery Replacement Program” for its consumers in India. Under this initiative, Xiaomi users can get the batteries of their mobile phones replaced whenever required. Users will have to pay a fixed price, starting from Rs. 499, to get their smartphone battery replaced. According to the company, consumers need to visit the nearest authorized Xiaomi service center and ask for a replacement battery, whenever required. Moreover, this program is applicable for both Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones.
According to a announcement According to Xiaomi India COO Muralikrishnan B, consumers can now get their Xiaomi smartphone battery replaced starting at Rs. 499. Those who want to replace their battery due to dead battery or any other issue can get a renewed battery from their nearest authorized Xiaomi service center.
There is also one more point that consumers should note: the price of the battery replacement program depends on the smartphone. Users will be billed based on their handsets, the company said.
Xiaomi users can also make online appointments to visit the service center through the Xiaomi Service+ app. Users with older smartphones or phones that show signs of battery aging, slow charging, sudden drop in battery percentage, etc. can take advantage of this program and get their battery replaced at minimal cost.
Additionally, a recent report suggests that the company is currently gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 12 in the second half of the year. The phone is said to be part of the Redmi Note 12 series and could come with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a similar design as the Redmi Note 11, the report claims. The upcoming smartphone is said to feature a triple camera setup on the back, a flat display and a center-aligned cutout for the selfie snapper.
