Xiaomi India announces mobile service camps to celebrate 10th anniversary
Xiaomi India on Tuesday announced new Mobile Service Camps via social media platforms to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the country. The program, which has already started, will be valid at authorized Xiaomi Service Centers. According to the company, users can avail services like free mobile health check-ups and free software updates. Moreover, users who want to get their devices repaired can get discounts on spare parts.
Xiaomi India’s Mobile Service Camps
In a after On X (formerly Twitter), Xiaomi announced that it will be organizing “Mobile Service Camps” at its authorized service centers. The campaign started on July 1 and will last until July 31. At these locations, Xiaomi smartphone users can enjoy free services such as health checks for their devices and even get them updated to the latest firmware.

It further announced special discounts of up to 50 percent on spare parts. The company said, “Celebrating 10 years of #XiaomiIndia with ‘Mobile Service Camps’ exclusively at authorized Xiaomi Service Centers!”
The Chinese company first entered the Indian smartphone market in 2014 with its Mi 3 device. It has since set up seven factories in the country with an operational capacity of three smartphones per second, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. It has expanded its portfolio, which now includes smart TVs, power banks, tablets and wearables.
Xiaomi claims that 99 percent of the smartphones it sells in India are made locally, with 65 percent of their value sourced locally. In December 2023, it launched a pilot project to export smartphones to countries such as Bangladesh and Nepal.
On June 26, Xiaomi India announced the ‘Swasth Mahila Swasth Bharat’ campaign in association with the Yuvraj Singh Foundation (YouWeCan) as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations. Through this initiative, it will provide early cancer screenings to over 150,000 women across 15 states in India over the next 12 months.
