Xiaomi Mi 13 to get self-developed IC for fast charging: report

The phone will also reportedly come with support for 50W wireless charging. The smartphone will also reportedly feature a large battery, despite the slim form factor. The development comes amid speculation that the Xiaomi Mi 13 will be one of the first smartphones to ship with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC, which could be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to a Weibo post by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, a smartphone, speculated The Xiaomi Mi 13 is rumored to get a self-developed chip that enables 100W fast charging on a single cell battery. The smartphone is also tipped to arrive with support for 50W fast charging. It is notable that the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones are equipped with Surge P1 that is used for power management. It is expected that the Xiaomi 13 series will feature an improved version of the Surge P1 chip for more effective power management.

The series is said to debut in November.
