The Xiaomi Mi 13 will reportedly feature a self-developed IC, or charging chip, that will enable 100W wired fast charging in a single-cell battery, according to a tipster. The phone will also reportedly come with support for 50W wireless charging. The smartphone will also reportedly feature a large battery, despite the slim form factor. The development comes amid speculation that the Xiaomi Mi 13 will be one of the first smartphones to ship with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC, which could be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
According to a Weibo post by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, a smartphone, speculated The Xiaomi Mi 13 is rumored to get a self-developed chip that enables 100W fast charging on a single cell battery. The smartphone is also tipped to arrive with support for 50W fast charging. It is notable that the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones are equipped with Surge P1 that is used for power management. It is expected that the Xiaomi 13 series will feature an improved version of the Surge P1 chip for more effective power management.
Speculation is rife that the Xiaomi Mi 13 will be one of the first smartphones to come with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC, which could be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro could run on Android 13 and feature a 2K display, according to a report. Four variants of the lineup have reportedly surfaced on the IMEI database. The series is said to debut in November.
It has also been reported that Qualcomm will announce the launch of the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC during the November 14-17 event. The date coincides with the rumored launch of the Xiaomi Mi 13 series. Apart from fast charging, 2K display and next-gen SoC, the Xiaomi Mi 13 series is also rumored to come with Leica cameras.
