Xiaomi Pad 7, Pad 7 Pro Core Specifications Surface in New Leak
Xiaomi could soon launch two new tablet models in China. These two tablets are currently labeled by the rumor mill as the Xiaomi Pad 7 and the Pad 7 Pro. We haven’t heard anything official from Xiaomi yet regarding the launch timelines of these new tablets. There’s now a leak that suggests new information about these two tablets, including their processor brand and charging speeds. The leaks also indicate that none of these models will replace Xiaomi’s top-end tablet offering in China, the Pad 6S Pro, which launched in February 2024.
According to one the tipster’s message on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, Xiaomi’s new tablet models could share the same 11.6-inch LCD screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The tipster also suggests that the Pad 7 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pad 7 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The tipster also hinted at the charging speeds of both tablet models. The Xiaomi Pad 7 is said to have fast charging at 45W, while the Pad 7 Pro will have faster charging at 67W.
According to the tipster, the top model that has not made it to the rumor mill so far will remain this year’s flagship model. This suggests that the Chinese brand may not launch a Pad 7 series model (at least for the current year) and will replace the Pad 6S Pro, which has a larger 12.4-inch screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 2 SoC and offers up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM. The tablet also has a 10,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging via cable and offers a number of accessories including a keyboard case with built-in trackpad.
Xiaomi’s most advanced tablet to launch in India is currently the Pad Pro 5G, which (as the name aptly implies) offers 5G mobile connectivity. It looks like the tablet will have a 12.10-inch LCD display, be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and have 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back.
