Yes Bharath Wedding Collections has transformed textile shopping in Kerala, from humble beginnings in the hill towns of Malabar to a leading wedding destination. A journey rooted in resilience
Their story began in Pathanamthittacentral Travancore, where Ayoob Khan E was born on 25 May 1971. After losing his father at an early age, Khan joined the small entrepreneurial community at the age of sixteen to overcome the challenges of life. He started in the garment business and gradually expanded his operations to South India. At the age of nineteen, Khan moved to Bahrain, later returning to continue his small-scale garment business in the border towns of Malabar, an ideal location for micro-garment trading.

From dream to reality
In 1994, Khan realized his dream by opening a restaurant Bharat Vasthrolasavam and Ready-made in Sulthan Bathery. This venture quickly gained popularity, leading to the opening of Yes Bharath Silks and Sarees in 2003, inaugurated by Malayalam actress Navya Nair. This milestone also marked the entry of Khan’s brother-in-law, Mr. Shibu Hassan, into the garment industry. In 2004, the store was renamed Yes Bharath Wedding Collections, with a unique inauguration involving the community, deepening our customer relationship. In 2023, the Sulthan Bathery showroom was renovated to a 100,000 square foot area, implementing new fashion trends, and opened by a film artist Makkal Sevam Vijay Sethupathi.
Continuous expansion and innovation
Over the years, Yes Bharath has continued to expand and innovate to meet the changing needs of our customers. In 2006, they introduced a newly designed showroom, which enhanced the shopping experience for our customers. In 2007, they added a section dedicated to men’s wear, ensuring that their offerings catered to the entire family. The store was opened in 2008 by the late Kalabhavan Mani, further cementing their reputation for quality and affordability.
In 2014, Yes Bharath opened a new outlet in Kalpetta, inaugurated by South Indian film stars Sharath Kumar and Nazriya Nazim. Two years later, in 2016, a new showroom was opened in Sulthan Bathery, marking the beginning of a new era with MD Anshad Ayoob Khanson of Ayoob Khan E, took over as Managing Director. Anshad, who holds a degree from Christ University, Bangalore and a Master’s in Business Studies from Coventry University, London Campus, brought a fresh perspective and modern strategies to the company. His academic credentials and innovative approach have propelled Yes Bharath forward.
Groundbreaking initiatives and future ventures
In 2023, Yes Bharath, led by Anshad Ayoob Khan, launched its first boutique, “Aura” at the Suthan Bathery showroom, and in 2024, Yes Bharath introduced an in-house dyeing unit at the Sulthan Bathery showroom, allowing customers to get garments in their favourite colours, a unique service in the state. This innovative addition underscores our commitment to providing unique and personalised shopping experiences.

Recognizing the importance of strong brand awareness, Yes Bharath proudly introduced Kalyani Priyadarshan as its brand ambassador in 2024. Her association with our brand brings a fresh and vibrant appeal that resonates with our commitment to style, elegance and quality. Kalyani’s endorsement expands our reach and strengthens our brand’s connection to a wider audience.

Recently, Yes Bharath launched “Weddings of Bharath”, a groundbreaking initiative that marks a major milestone in the Indian wedding industry. This campaign is the first of its kind, bringing together major wedding service providers under one roof to offer exceptional value to our wedding clients. Through their campaign partners, they are presenting a variety of exclusive discounts and special offers, making wedding planning more affordable and fun for couples across the country.
Our upcoming showroom in Adoor, spanning 100,000 square feet, is in its final stages and will open by the end of August 2025. This new venture promises to offer a unique shopping experience for the people of Adoor.
