You have one month left to get the Starlink Kit with $200 off
If you’ve been thinking about making the switch to Starlink, now’s the time to do it. The satellite internet provider recently dropped the price of its equipment to $299 for all U.S. customers, but that only lasts until October 5.
Previously, the discount was only available in 29 states, where Starlink has “abundant network availability.” Customers in these states will now receive a one-time $100 service credit when they purchase a dish during this promotional period.
To prevent users in other states from taking advantage of that credit, Starlink noted: “Customers who change their service address to an address that is not a regional savings area will be charged the amount of the regional savings.” Starlink did not respond to CNET’s request for further comment.
The discount comes at a busy time for the satellite company. In July, the company debuted its Starlink Mini satellite dish, which is about the size of a laptop and has a built-in router for on-the-go connectivity. The company also quietly rolled out an invite-only family plan for some U.S. customers in early August.
