Doctor Gabassi is a beautician and cosmetic dentist based in Harley Street, England.

In an interview with The US Sun, she shared little-known beauty tips.

PRESS SNOOZE

According to Dr. Gabassi, you can maintain youthful skin by getting seven to nine hours of quality sleep every night.

She recommended investing in a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and skin folds.

She said a humidifier in the bedroom can also help keep skin hydrated.

“During sleep, the body repairs and regenerates skin cells, balances hormones and reduces inflammation, all of which contribute to a healthy, youthful appearance,” she said.

“I tell my clients to sleep on their back because this prevents wrinkles and creases that are created by the pressure on the skin.

“It is important to maintain a consistent sleep schedule and practice good sleep hygiene, as this can further support skin health.”

LOW PRODUCTS

Dr. Gabassi said a “gentle form” of retinol can be used to boost collagen production in the late 20s to early 30s.

She recommends brightening skin tone with vitamin C from the age of 25.

‘No more frown lines,’ says 68-year-old who is told she ‘doesn’t look older’ with cream customers call ‘amazing’

She said people of all ages can use hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump their skin, while peptides can be beneficial for skin firmness and elasticity from your late 20s onwards.

“Vitamin C should be applied first, followed by hyaluronic acid, peptides and finally retinol,” she said.

“It is important to wait a few minutes between each product application to allow it to be properly absorbed.

“Skin care products should be applied in order of thinnest to thickest to ensure proper absorption and effectiveness of each product.”

She said it also helps to prevent dilution by applying thicker products like creams and lotions last.

Cold spoons can be used to reduce swelling and egg whites can be used for a temporary firming effect.

She also recommended using a light, non-greasy sunscreen, such as Altruist, to prevent premature aging and damage to the skin.

TREAT YOURSELF

According to Dr. Gabassi, it’s important to stay hydrated, manage stress, avoid smoking, and eat a diet rich in antioxidants.

There is also a selection of home remedies that can be incorporated into an anti-aging routine.

She recommended nourishing the skin with a homemade face mask made from a mix of honey, aloe vera and turmeric.

“Cold spoons can be used to reduce swelling, and egg whites can be used for a temporary firming effect,” she said.

“Both can provide anti-aging benefits when used regularly.”

As an alternative, she suggested a professional aesthetic treatment.

“The Perfect Peel is a popular chemical peel treatment that can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles,” she said.

“It exfoliates the skin, stimulates collagen production and improves skin texture.

“While there are things we can do to reduce the signs of aging and anti-aging solutions can boost self-confidence, it is also important to embrace aging and natural beauty through self-love, self-care, and acceptance of the body’s natural changes.

“Ultimately, growing older is a blessing because it means we have been given the gift of time.”
