Youngsters are attracted to our ideology and are joining us in large numbers every year: RSS leader Sunil Ambekar | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Every year, more than a lakh youth get fascinated by “RSS ideology” and become a member via the ‘Join RSS‘ platform, says RSS’s national publicity head, Sunil Ambekar.
At a press conference, Ambekar mentioned that as of June this year, 66,529 persons had joined the RSS. The meeting focused on the expansion of the organisation and the upcoming centenary celebrations.
The RSS aims to establish daily ‘shakhas’ (prayer rituals) in all mandals (groups of 8-10 villages) in rural areas by ‘Vijaya Dashami’ in 2025, coinciding with the organisation’s 100th anniversary. In addition, changes have been made in the structure and curriculum of RSS training classes from this year onwards.
Addressing the issue of alleged religious conversions in Jharkhand, Ambekar stressed that using unfair methods for such purposes is wrong and against the law. He asserted that everyone should abide by the law and the RSS stands against such practices. Ambekar added, “The society should be concerned about this and the Sangh will continue with its vision of whatever needs to be done in this regard.”
Regarding the central government’s decision to declare June 25 as ‘Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas’ (Constitution Assassination Day), Ambekar said that declaring emergency was wrong and should not happen in a democracy.
This day is to honour those who endured hardships during the Emergency. Home Minister Amit Shah recently announced the government’s decision to observe this day to commemorate the “tremendous contributions” of those who suffered during that time.
The three-day meeting in Ranchi was attended by top leaders of the RSS, including chief Mohan Bhagwat, general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, members of the national executive and all prant pracharaks.
These prant pracharaks are full-time employees who are responsible for supervising the RSSThe 46 organizational regions of ‘s.
