Your nighttime mistake will leave wrinkles on your chest and forehead, doctor warns
A common habit may be the cause of the deeper wrinkles on your face and chest.
Dr Alison Colville shared how to fix this and tips to keep your skin looking young and wrinkle-free.
Dr. Colville is an aesthetic physician and general practitioner who Avery Clinic in Leamington Spa, England.
In an interview with The US Sun, she shared some practical anti-aging tips.
PRESS SNOOZE
First, says Dr. Colville, it’s important to get seven to eight hours of sleep every night to maintain the health of your skin.
“Lack of sleep can impact the immune system and this can affect the amount of collagen in our skin,” she said.

“Collagen is the building block of the skin and essential for a youthful complexion.
“More sleep literally means fewer wrinkles.”
PERFECT CUSHIONS
But sleeping wrong can ultimately be your undoing.
“Side sleepers often notice deeper lines from nose to mouth, lines around the eyes, a deep groove above the eyebrows, and chest lines,” she said.

“Sleeping on your back is the best sleeping position to prevent unwanted aggravation of natural aging lines and wrinkles.
“If you cannot sleep on your back, there are special anti-wrinkle pillows available that can reduce these wrinkles.
“Another good tip is to try reusable silicone pads. These are available for the chest and face and prevent the skin from folding during the night.”
BEAUTY ENHANCERS
A daily skin care routine with a broad-spectrum SPF isn’t the only way to prevent accelerated aging.
“Sunglasses and peaked hats also prevent you from squinting, which can reduce frowning and eye wrinkles,” says Dr. Colville.
“A good quality collagen supplement is another helpful boost, usually in liquid form like Skinade.
“This is a great way to increase collagen levels throughout your body, not just your face and neck.”
DOCTOR’S ORDER
Dr Alison Colville previously told The US Sun that 80% of skin ageing is preventable.
She said that active ingredients should be included in our skincare routine from the age of 20, when collagen levels begin to decline.
Her appearance, which does not age, is due to the fact that her grandmother washes her face with ‘ice cold’ water every day.
She creates the same effect with metal balls that she keeps in the refrigerator.
When applied to the skin, they reduce redness and swelling in the face.
