Your Pixel Tablet could soon get a VPN-style upgrade


  • Google’s VPN has been reintroduced to the Pixel Tablet in the latest Android beta
  • Originally released in June, the VPN service was originally considered incompatible with the device
  • The update is expected to be fully rolled out in March 2025

Google appears to have extended Google’s support of its Pixel-exclusive VPN to Pixel Tablet users.

If reported by Android Authoritythe newest Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1 release includes Google’s VPN pre-installed on Pixel Tablet devices. Two X users, formerly Twitter, confirmed on the site that their devices were showing the VPN service after the update.

Google VPN launched in June on the Google Pixel 7 and newer models. Still, at that time, Pixel Tablet owners were only able to install the app briefly before it stopped working because Google deemed it an incompatible device.
