Zac Efron BREAKS SILENCE after being rushed to hospital following incident while swimming at luxury Ibiza villa
Zac Efron spoke out after be taken to a hospital in Spain after a ‘swimming pool incident’ at a villa in Ibiza on Friday night.
The 36-year-old High School Musical actor went with his Instagram stories on Sunday to share a photo of himself working out shirtless, lifting dumbbells while lying on an exercise ball.
“Happy and healthy, thanks for the well wishes,” the muscular matinee idol captioned the post.
The star’s message comes after sources revealed to TMZ that the actor was ‘found in the pool by two people working at the villa who pulled him out of the water.’
His spokesperson confirmed to the outlet that Efron was hospitalized “as a precaution” after the “minor” incident and that he is “recovering well.”

He was discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning.
DailyMail.com has contacted the former teen idol’s representative for comment.
Efron’s representative was asked why he had to be hospitalized if the problem was only mild.
The spokesperson did not specify in his response why Efron had to be fished out of the pool, but reiterated that the hospital visit was merely a precaution.
Before the incident, he was on stage with Dutch DJ Martin Garrix during one of his shows.
The former Disney Channel presenter has spent time in Ibiza and Europe in recent weeks.
Two weeks ago he spent an afternoon on a yacht with friends in Ibiza, following a recent holiday in St. Tropez earlier this month.
The incident occurred more than a decade after he “shattered” his jaw when he slipped and hit his chin on a granite fountain while jogging in his home.

In 2022 he said Men’s Health Magazine that he lost consciousness and woke up with ‘his chin bone hanging out of his face.’
Efron said that when he was injured, the chewing muscles on the inside of his face and jaw “compensated” for the injury, causing them to grow in size. This was the reason for his remarkable transformation.
He says that explains why he looked so different back then. ‘The chewing muscles just grew. They just got really, really big.’
Following the accident, Efron has been the subject of plastic surgery rumors, but the handsome actor and star has maintained that the changes were only the result of shattering his jaw.
The High School Musical star also claimed not to know he was a hot topic on social media and that his unusual jawline had gone viral until his mother called to ask if he’d gone under the knife.
“If I cared so much about what other people thought of me,” he told the magazine, “I absolutely couldn’t do this job.”
In April 2021, Efron trended on Twitter after appearing in a video for Earth Day! The Musical with a more prominent square chin and heavier jawline.
In the clip, Efron enthusiastically calls Bill Nye a “genius” after hearing that he and Justin Bieber were working on a fictional Earth Day musical.
Fans started speculating that the beautiful star wanted to undergo plastic surgery.
Efron’s friend Kyle Sandilands also weighed in, saying the Baywatch star would never do something like that, comparing Efron to an oil painting by one of the old masters.
The Australian radio presenter, who has known Zac for years, denied all speculation at the time during The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“I would know if he had plastic surgery,” Kyle declared, before telling co-host Jackie “O” Henderson that Zac “of course” hadn’t had plastic surgery.
He then went on to say that it would be pointless for the High School Musical heartthrob to undergo surgery since he was already so good-looking.
“It’s like buying a Picasso and letting a child paint over it with his finger. Why bother?” he said bluntly.
Last month, fans were again asking questions about his appearance after watching his new Netflix film, A Family Affair, starring Nicole Kidman.
