Zendaya’s Esthetician Reveals Her Favorite Skincare Buy — It’s $8 for Prime Day

The skin-care expert shared the key steps in her beauty routine, including a budget buy that’s been marked down to $8 as part of a Prime Day sale.

Cleanser, moisturizer and a good SPF are the key parts of the Hollywood star’s skincare routine.

CLEANING

Zendaya always starts with a cleansing product, “a step she considers essential and indispensable, no matter how tired or how little time she has.”

Her aesthetician, Vanessa Marc, advises using a gentle cleanser that won’t dry out the skin further.

Her favorites include the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Cleansing Bar, $5.98, and the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Clarifying Facial Wipes, $12.95.

She said they are “perfect for her sensitive skin,” which is also prone to breakouts.

The expert added that a toner can also be a great addition to your beauty routine and is best used after a cleanser.

One of Zendaya’s top picks is the Thayers Witch Hazel Rose Petal Toner, $7.90.

MOISTURIZE

Because Zendaya has sensitive skin, it is important that she moisturizes her skin.

It can reduce many skin problems including dryness, oiliness and signs of aging.

Marc recommended applying the product to damp skin to maximize its effectiveness.

The Euphoria star prefers more natural options, like the Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer, $14, with green tea extract and aloe vera.

Proper hydration doesn’t just apply to your face, as the skin on your lips is just as “thin and delicate,” making it “prone to dryness and flaking.”

Zendaya’s esthetician said she likes to have the Aquaphor Lip Repair Ointment, $4.58, on hand for when needed.

SPF SUBSCRIPTION

Always use SPF, even when the sun is not shining. UV rays can penetrate cloudy skies and cause damage.

Zendaya wears sunscreen consistently, favoring the Lancôme UV Expert Aquagel Defense 50 Sunscreen SPF 50, $48, and the less expensive CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30, $13.56.

They are excellent moisturizers with built-in SPFs.

If you wear makeup, you can still protect your skin with an SPF facial spray, like the Garnier Ambre Solaire Over Makeup Super UV Protection Mist SPF50 for $27.95.

DON’T OVERDO IT

While cleanser, moisturizer and SPF are the “core parts” of Zendaya’s skincare routine, the esthetician also recommended other products that can address other needs.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil, $45.99, is great for blemishes.

Additionally, try the Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel, $20, and the ToGoSpa Green Tea EYES Under Eye Treatment, $15, to give your eyes a “special treatment.”

Marc also recommended using a serum with vitamin C for clear skin, retinol for fine lines, tone and texture, and serums for hyperpigmentation.

She wanted beauty fans to realize that retinol, oils and serums can be added benefits, but it’s important not to use too much of them.

“Zendaya advocates keeping things simple and consistent,” she said.

FACE MASK MAGIC

Finally, she said that “an evening mask or treatment can do wonders.”

“If your skin is feeling dull or lifeless, you can use a sheet mask or clay mask and serum to enjoy a spa-quality treatment at home,” she explains.

She revealed some of Zendaya’s favorite masks that she wears before bed.

Her favorites included the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask, $14.40, the La Mer The Intensive Revitalizing Mask, $175.10, and the Lancôme Advanced Genifique Hydrogel Melting Mask, $42.
