Zinwa Q25 brings Android 13 and new internals to the old Blackberry Classic

The Chinese company Zinwa Technologies is preparing to reduce the BlackBerry Classic (also known as the Q20) with updated internals under the name Zinwa Q25 (because we were in 2025).
The phone will contain new hardware while retaining many of the original iconic components, including the 720×720 touchscreen, physical keyboard, LED report light and outer scale.
This project is intended to combine the nostalgic BlackBerry form factor with modern smartphone options.
Improved internals
Fortunately Zinwa replaces the original internals with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.x storage. The battery also gets an upgrade to 3000 mAh, and the camera system contains a 50MP rear sensor and an 8MP camera on the front.
The Q25 turns Android 13 out of the box, but there are no plans to upgrade to Android 14 or later. That said, Zinwa is planning to offer regular updates to tackle bugs and add small functions.
The company sends the Q25 with NFC, USB-C, headphone connection, MicroSD card support and a single SIM-slot. The modem in the new motherboard supports all global 4G LTE bands, making the phone compatible with most networks worldwide.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Return Retro (which you can view below), Zinwa said that the updated trackpad will function such as the original, which works as well as a cursor and a directional path, depending on the selected mode.

Both the kit and the completed device are expected to be sent at the beginning of August 2025.
Zinwa has also confirmed that it works on similar innovations of the Blackberry Keyone and the passport, with future models that may be called K25 and P26.
