He has been one of Hollywood’s most famous leading actors for nearly three decades.

And Leonardo DiCaprio has undergone quite a physical transformation since his days as a young actor in the 1990s.

He made his screen debut in the TV series The New Lassie in 1989 and rose to prominence with roles in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and Romeo + Juliet.

Now 48, Leonardo is often seen sporting a trimmed goatee and sleek quiff on the red carpet.

After recently showing off his muscular physique on a superyacht in Sardinia in May, MailOnline takes a look at Leonardo’s changing looks over the years.

Leo looked worlds away from his current self when he rose to fame as a fresh actor in his late teens in the early 1990s.

One of his earliest memorable roles was as Luke Brower on the beloved sitcom Growing Pains, in which he starred from 1991 to 1992.

Just a year later, his career had really taken off when he landed starring roles in This Boy’s Life and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

One of Leo’s most recognizable looks was in the 2000 movie The Beach, in which he appeared as a 26-year-old.

The actor, who had a noticeably slimmer build at the time, starred opposite Tilda Swinton in the film about a traveler who goes to a beach in Thailand that he thinks will be paradise, only to find hostile inhabitants waiting for him.

A few years later, Leo had a more muscular physique when he reunited with his Titanic co-star Kate Winslet in the movie Revolutionary Road.

The A-list actors played a middle-class married couple who became dissatisfied with their life in the suburbs.

Although the film made a modest $76 million at the box office, the performances of both Leo and Kate were critically acclaimed.

Four years later, the movie star looked dramatically different for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Djano Unchained.

The actor played the owner of a slave plantation in the film and sported a long, scruffy beard and thick head of hair.

Just a year later in 2013, Leo was back in a tighter look for one of the most memorable roles of his career: Jordan Barrett in The Wolf of Wall Street.

The Oscar-winning star sported a clean-shaven look in the movie, along with a thick brunette quiff.

Leo’s latest Apple TV+ movie, Killers Of The Flower Moon, has received critical acclaim since its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

The movie star made a neat figure on the red carpet in a dark gray suit that he combined with a black shirt.

Project: Leo’s latest Apple TV+ movie, Killers Of The Flower Moon, has received critical acclaim since its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May

The project is based on a 2017 non-fiction book titled Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, written by David Grann.

Some of the star-studded cast include Leonardo, Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser, Lily Gladstone, and also Jesse Plemons.

The premise follows: “Members of the Osage Tribe in the United States are murdered under mysterious circumstances in the 1920s, sparking a major FBI investigation involving J. Edgar Hoover,” according to an IMDB synopsis.

After the screening of the film in Cannes, the project received a standing ovation for no less than nine minutes per Variety.

Director Martin Scorsese addressed the applauding crowd to express his gratitude, saying, “Thank you to the Osages. Everyone was connected to the photo.

“My old buddies Bob and Leo, and Jesse and Lily. We shot this a few years ago in Oklahoma. It’s taken some time to get by, but Apple has done such a great job because of us.”
