Andy Cohen believes Raquel Leviss was ‘really medicated’ during three-part Vanderpump Rules reunion

Andy Cohen believes that Raquel Leviss was ‘medicated’ during the Vanderpump Rules reunion, due to her apathetic demeanor while apologizing for her affair with Tom Sandoval.

As the 28-year-old reality star’s costars and former lover, 39, cried and shouted at her during the emotional episode, the talk show host, 55, admitted that Leviss’ detached reactions left him concerned. 

‘I was worried for Raquel’s mental health going into the reunion. I mean, I still am. But actually, when I saw how unemotional she was, it made me think she was really medicated or really out of touch with her role in everything,’ he told Variety on Wednesday. 

He went on to point out how bizarre it was to watch the former pageant queen’s former pal, Scheana Shay, sob over the end of their end friendship while Leviss did not outwardly express any sadness. 

‘When Scheana is crying her eyes out and [Raquel] says in the trailer, ‘I should have written her a note’ — I found that very confusing and it made me think that, maybe, there was something she was missing about what these relationships were,’ he said.

The father-of-two continued: ‘It made me think that, maybe, she didn’t think they were as real as the other people thought. I didn’t understand.’ 

Still, Cohen described that former Miss Sonoma County, who has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, ‘very leveled.’

‘In some ways that helped her that day because it helped her get through a very difficult day. But sometimes — where it does her a disservice is — it seems she’s maybe not affected by what is happening or doesn’t care. She would maintain otherwise but she had a very calm and leveled demeanor,’ he added. 

As for Shay, she has stated that she is ‘mourning the loss’ of their friendship and trying to figure out ‘who the f**k’ Leviss is.

On Thursday, DailyMail.com revealed Leviss is still receiving treatment in a mental health facility, 68 days after the explosive Vanderpump Rules reunion. 

Raquel first checked into the facility in April – with a source close to the star telling DailyMail.com she is ‘aiming to become a better person’ as a result of her stay. 

They said: ‘Upon the completion of filming the reunion, Raquel entered a voluntary inpatient behavioral health and trauma facility and remains there to date – 68 days and counting.

‘She is a young woman that is and has been remorseful for her actions and has apologized repeatedly.’

‘Her treatment is helping her learn the basis of her decisions and to grow from her mistakes with the hope of making better choices and becoming a better person.

‘Raquel looks forward to sharing her story with the unfiltered truth when she comes out.’

Back in April, a source said of Raquel’s decision to enter the facility: ‘Raquel and her family decided before the relationship was discovered that she would enter a voluntary facility for mental health counseling.

‘She was scheduled to go in pre-reunion but decided she wanted to finish her filming commitment. Bravo and production were aware and in support of her journey towards better mental health.

Leviss’ rep added that she was not in a facility for substance abuse issues.

In March, Leviss issued a statement in which she revealed she was analyzing her own behavior and speaking to a counselor after the affair was exposed.

She said: ‘I am reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor and I am learning things about myself such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved.

‘I have sought emotional validation through intimate connections that are not healthy without regard for my own well-being, sometimes negatively affecting others and often prioritizing the intimate connection over my friendships. I am taking steps to understand my behavior and make healthier choices.’

This comes after Sandoval  revealed he and Leviss had hit the brakes on their sexual relationship, after their months-long affair was exposed in March.

Following the recent end of his  relationship with Madix over his infidelity, the bar owner revealed they are ‘kind of taking a break.’

Although the affair was only unveiled in March, both Sandoval and Leviss have revealed their romance actually started last summer. 

This comes after Leviss tearfully came clean about the Scandoval affair and admitted to more sex romps with Sandoval and her desire to be in a ‘throuple’ with Madix on Wednesday’s third and final Vanderpump Rules reunion episode on Bravo.  

‘I think it’s important to me to tell the truth,’ said Raquel as she admitted to lying during the reunion.

‘I think that I’ve been lying and being so deceitful this entire time that… I don’t want to lie anymore, and it’s all out there anyway. Like, the worst is out, yet I’m still finding myself having to lie about specific timeline things,’ Raquel said.

Flashbacks were then shown of Sandoval during the reunion insisting they had sex once and took a break before resuming their affair.

‘He feels like it would be less hurtful to say that, you know, this wasn’t going on for so long,’ Raquel said.

The producer prodded her for details and Raquel revealed the second time they had sex was during the Mexico trip for Scheana Shay’s wedding last August that Ariana also attended.

‘I was like, “We can’t see each other. This isn’t gonna be a thing.” But then, like, that first night in Cancún, he was, like drunk and, like, trying to find his room, and I heard him talking in the hallway, and, there was somebody working there, and he was, like, asking which direction the elevator was, and I was like, “Wait, just come inside.” I was like, “Sorry, sir. Like, he’s really drunk.” Yeah. That was the second time that we were physical, intimate with each other,’ Raquel admitted.

She shared that their affair ‘picked up speed’ once filming ended on the Bravo show. 

Raquel also claimed that she ‘felt really guilty’.

‘A huge part of me wanted to tell her. Like, it ate me alive not to tell her. I mean, I even suggest, I was like, “Maybe, like, what would Ariana think about, like, having me as an addition?” And he was like, “No, no, no. She would not be into that”,’ Raquel said.

‘A throuple?,’ the producer asked.

‘Yeah,’ Raquel answered. ‘Because, like, I love Ariana as a person, and then also I’m in love with Tom Sandoval. So, yeah, it didn’t seem like that far-fetched of an idea, but it was not something in question.’

‘God, he’s gonna kill me,’ she added.

‘I just hate lying so much. I hate it,’ Raquel said.

Raquel also told the producer that Sandoval asked her not to disclose certain information.

‘I feel like Tom is, like, you know, my one person that I do have. And so, if I just, like, went and betrayed him, then I’d really have nobody,’ Raquel said.

She started crying as she revealed they agreed to get one particular story straight.

‘The reason why Tom wanted to lie about it is because it’s a really bad look to hook up with someone’s boyfriend in their own house. When they’ve gone out of town, especially for, like, a funeral, of all things,’ Raquel said sobbing.

She was mentioning the time when Ariana was out of town to attend the funeral of her beloved grandmother Bonnie.

‘This has f***ing killed my soul. Like, I am so sick of lying. I hate it. I hate being deceitful. It’s horrible,’ Raquel said while crying hard.
