Joshua posted photos on Instagram show him doing an early morning workout with his strength and conditioning team in a gym in Dubai.

The heavyweight performs lunges and flexes his body at the end of the session.

While the 34-year-old has his sights set on a fight with British champion Tyson Fury, Joshua will likely have to wait at least a year before he gets his hands on the “Gypsy King.”

Fury has been contracted for an immediate rematch with Oleksandr Usyk after their fight scheduled for May 18.

Former UFC champion Ngannou lasted just two rounds with Joshua as he was dropped three times before the fight was waved off by referee Richard Gonzalez.

Following his recent string of wins in the ring, the former Olympic champion named three names he had in mind to face amid his wait to challenge Fury.

When asked who he wanted to fight next, he said, “Wilder, Zhang, Parker. All of them.”

Joshua had originally signed for Deontay Wilder until the American suffered a shock defeat to Joseph Parker.

Parker went on to defeat Zhilei Zhang in his next fight and is now a possible option for AJ.

The two fought in 2018, with Joshua securing the victory on points.

Tyson Fury hits back at Eddie Hearn’s claims Anthony Joshua is the best heavyweight in the world and vows to make the fight happen

Fury has been given the green light by the WBC to fight Joshua if he beats Usyk.

Mauricio Sulaiman – chairman of the WBC, in which Fury is champion – would give the go-ahead for the confrontation with AJ after Usyk.

Sulaiman told Air sports: “The WBC was presented with a sanction request that had to fight for the undisputed.

“The WBC accepted that sanction and we accepted the rematch they requested.

But if it has nothing to do with contract or promotion, we would absolutely accept the winner fighting Joshua.

“The WBC has paid a lot of attention to this issue. So we have completely cleared the ground for the undisputed, for a rematch and for a new fight of that level.

“The WBC’s position at this time is very open to supporting the undisputed champion in taking on the fights that the fans want to see.”
