In his last outing, Joshua defeated Swedish southpaw Otto Wallin with a fifth-round TKO victory.

Now AJ will face UFC legend Ngannou, who made his boxing debut last year against undefeated Tyson Fury.

The Cameroonian dropped the Gypsy King in the third round before controversially losing via split decision.

The official fight purse figures for Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou have yet to be revealed.

However, it has been reported that the former UFC champion will take home at least $20 million (£15.7 million), excluding pay-per-view points and additional bonuses.

Ngannou walked away with $10 million (£7.8 million) for his boxing debut against Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia last year, meaning he is expected to earn double that for his upcoming fight with AJ.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Joshua could earn almost $50 million (£40 million) – not counting pay-per-view and extra bonuses.

The fight will last ten three-minute rounds, as opposed to the more conventional twelve-round fights.

Any fighter can win by knockout, decision or TKO.

The 10-point ‘must’ system is used for each round, meaning the winner of a round scores 10 points, while the loser gets nine – unless he is knocked down or seriously injured. In that case he gets eight points, seven or less, depending on the severity of the damage.
