Arctic Monkeys were reportedly forced to cancel their headline show at Glastonbury on Friday over a fan concern.

The band took to the iconic Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm for a 90-minute set, which was criticized by fans for being ‘boring’, having seemingly ‘slowed down’ many of their hits.

However, it was said that the performance was halted by the band to allow aid to a fan after members of the public pleaded for medical attention.

Festival-goers reportedly used their mobile phones to alert stewards so they could help the troubled fan.

While lead singer Alex Turner and the rest of the group paused their performance to help the poor person efficiently.

That’s what a witness at the event said The mirror: ‘Last night there was a moment on the set of Arctic Monkeys where they dramatically interrupted the performance when the fan became unwell.

Festivalgoers about 130 feet from the stage clamored for medics and frantically waved cell phone lights to attract the attention of stewards who rushed into the crowd to help.

“The band paused their set for the stewards to process the situation before continuing.”

MailOnline has reached out to Arctic Monkeys representatives for comment.

It comes after Glastonbury festival-goers were disappointed by Arctic Monkeys’ headline set when they criticized the band for delaying their big hits.

The Arctic Monkeys played the much-anticipated 90-minute headliner, but fans were left in awe of the show, with one person even yawning in the audience.

Vocalist Alex Turner released a host of big hits from the Arctic Monkeys, including Mardy Bum and RU Mine, but the public was left confused and wondering what the hell was going on with the band.

For many of the band’s big hitters, Alex – who has recently recovered from acute laryngitis – sang the songs at a much slower tempo than the upbeat originals, with fans complaining that it was difficult to sing along.

The rock band took the stage hours after a surprise show from The Foo Fighters, who put on an incredible performance for the hour-long ‘secret’ slot of the festival, with several claiming they should have headlined Friday’s show.

Both festival-goers and fans watching the BBC’s live broadcast called the headlining set ‘boring’ and ‘mediocre’ and complained that they were ‘disappointed’ by the performance.

One fan wrote on Twitter, “I fell in love with the Arctic Monkeys because of the energy and excitement in the songs. That performance was too slow for me, there were still some bangers played.’

Another said: ‘Too slow, not engaging for the audience…not great’, while a third complained: ‘Why slow down even your slowest song??? Sorry, I’ve always loved the Arctic Monkeys, but can’t stand it.’

A fourth tweeted, “Terrible performance, what the hell is going on with them?! Glad I didn’t get tickets to one of their shows this time.’

A fifth shared: ‘I am very disappointed in Arctic Monkeys. It all seems very slow, that excitement from the first album is gone. It’s like the Arctic Monkeys Jazz Lounge.”

It’s like they want people to hate them. Like a mediocre lounge band covering polar monkeys, another moaned.

However, some fans supported the band and praised their performance, saying that the band’s style has simply evolved over the years.
