Schapelle Corby made a shocking confession about her imprisonment in Bali after being held for nine years for attempting to smuggle in cannabis.
Schapelle, 46, was released from Kerobokan prison in 2014 and deported from Indonesia in 2017, with many believing she was given a lifetime ban from entering the country.
However, the convicted drug smuggler shocked her Instagram followers on Thursday when she revealed she had only been handed a six-month ban from the tropical paradise.
Schapelle posted a throwback photo of herself on a beach in Bali and shared a news quote saying that “she was given a lifetime ban from Indonesia.”
“Not true,” she clarified in her own caption. ‘I got a six-month suspension.’

She then shared another photo of herself happily drinking on a boat with friends, juxtaposed with a photo of herself behind prison bars.
Here, Schapelle revealed whether she would ever go back to the tropical island now that she is allowed to return.
‘Although Bali is an ideal place for a holiday. I have no desire to go back there. Yet I can travel and enter,” she wrote.

Schapelle has been working as a clockmaker and influencer since she was deported from Indonesia in 2017 after serving a reduced prison sentence and parole.
She was infamously convicted of smuggling cannabis into Indonesia before being imprisoned in Bali’s Kerobokan prison for nine years.
After her arrest at Bali airport in October 2004, Schapelle said she knew nothing about the drugs found in her boogie board bag.

After a series of sentence reductions, she was released on parole in 2014 and deported to Australia three years later.
Last year it was reported that Schapelle had split from her Indonesian boyfriend Ben Panangian after 16 years together.
She announced on Instagram that her long-distance relationship with Ben was over and that she was looking for her Prince Charming.
The couple met in a prison in Bali in 2006, when they were both serving sentences for drug-related crimes but had not seen each other in person since 2019.
