Captain Kerry Titheradge before taking over Captain Lee Rosbach on Below deck – and he makes all his own rules.
“I know I have big shoes to fill, but I love it so much,” Kerry said in the Below deck season 11 trailer, which premiered at BravoCon on Friday, November 3. “We all have good days full of rainbows and unicorns and then we have some bad days. I expect perfection. You work hard, you are rewarded. You f–k around, and I’ll f–king turn around in a heartbeat.
Season 11 of the hit series returns to Bravo in February 2024, with Kerry taking over from Lee. However, Below Deck fans already know Kerry after he captained the team Below deck adventurewhich aired earlier this year.
Fraser Olender And Ben Willoughby join Kerry in Grenada after appearing in season 10. New crew members include the chef Anthony Iracaneboss Jared Woodinsailors Marie “Sunny” Marquis And Kyle Stillie and stews Cat Baugh, Xandi Olivier And Barbie Pascual.
In the sneak peek clip, Kerry has his hands full as he deals with appointments, demanding guests and the usual Below deck drama. Fraser, meanwhile, seemingly crosses the line by kissing a charter guest, which is usually considered off-limits by most captains.
Fraser and Ben also come into conflict while running their respective departments.
“Please don’t engage in inner drama,” Fraser tells Ben, who replies, “Mate, you’ve let a lot more people go on your side. End of story.”
Later in the video, Kerry appears at her wits’ end with a crew member. “The easiest part of being a captain is steering the boat. The hardest part is the crew,” he says of an undisclosed problem. ‘I’m so damn angry. It is a total disregard for my authority.”
We weekly announced the news in February that Lee would no longer appear on the film Below deck after a period of ten years.
Kerry previously praised his relationship with Lee, who gave him advice about joining the franchise.
“‘Be yourself. Be that same guy I was playing golf with,'” he said Us in February, referring to his first meeting with Lee at a golf tournament. “And then I asked him about social media and how to do it. I said, “I heard I should have someone do it so I don’t get caught up in it.” He says, ‘No, do your own social media. Don’t let anyone do that.’”
Kerry recalled receiving support from the OG Below deck star when they crossed paths at BravoCon.
“The show wasn’t out yet, but we started talking and he said, ‘Man, you’re going to do great.’ You’re going to do very well. I see it,” he continued at the time. “He says, ‘You’re going to do a great job in this franchise.’ And then he talked to my daughter. It was cool.”
Lee, for his part, admitted he didn’t expect to leave Below decknarrate Us in May: “That came right out of left field. I didn’t see that coming at all.”
The reality star said he was not given an exact reason for the decision.
“We would like to go in a new direction,” Lee remembers being told about his off-screen departure. “But I mean, that’s kind of a cliché that everyone uses when they’re in a situation where they’re going to let someone go. ‘I’m going in a new direction. We want to freshen it up a bit.” [They are] tired clichés that are overused.”
Lee has since collaborated with former Below deck Co-star Kate Chastain for Bravos Coaching conversation with Captain Lee and Kate. He also does not rule out returning Below deck when he receives a call from the network.
“If they found out they needed me for the show again, I would go back,” he said at the time. “I’ve done it for ten years and I’d actually like to do it – if I’m going to make an exit – on different terms.”
Below deck Season 11 premieres with a super-sized episode on Bravo Monday, February 5 at 9pm ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
