Matty was evicted from the Big Brother house on Thursday night, leaving the remaining five in the final.

The doctor, 24, was wrapped up in the house just before the last day as Henry, Noky, Jordan, Yinrun and Olivia reached the end.

At the end of his letter from home, which was read by Yinrun, he was told how he would be leaving, with a brutal twist, leaving the others in shock.

In Friday night’s final, one of the final five will win a whopping £100,000 in the highly anticipated live show.

Voting for Friday night’s live final has now reopened via the Big Brother app, with viewers being asked to vote for the housemate they want to win Big Brother with.

Voting closes during tomorrow night’s show.

Viewers will watch as presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best crown the winner of Big Brother 2023, speaking to all five finalists in their first live interview since leaving the Big Brother house.

Elsewhere, the Big Brother house got emotional during Thursday’s penultimate episode.

The housemates all received a letter from home with encouraging words from family and friends, so there was not a dry eye in the house.

Housemates gathered in the lounge as Big Brother said, “Housemates. Before the gates of heaven close for the day, I wanted to give you all the ultimate heavenly gift: your letters from home.”

Olivia read Noky’s letter from her sister to her and said, “To my best friend, from the second day I was born, I have looked up to you in every way – we were meant to be sisters.”

Later, Jordan read Henry’s letter to him and said, “You have been your positive, funny, authentic self all the time in the house and people love you for you.”

When he read Jordan’s letter to him, Henry said, “My entire office is watching your every move and they know all about your behavior in the bushes!

‘Everyone loves your humor and thinks you are a gentleman. I adore Henry, lifelong friends and potential son-in-law.”

Noky elicited even more tears when she read Olivia’s letter from her parents to her: “Our sweet, beautiful girl Olivia.

‘We are the proudest mom and dad ever. Grandma, Po and James are all so proud, but we’ll warn you now: Grandma wants to say something about your swearing!’

Then Matty read an emotional letter from Yinrun to her and said, “Your parents and grandmother miss you very much.

‘You did the whole process of going to Britain yourself. I saw my girl at her best: adventurous, independent and courageous.”

And when he finally read Matty’s letter to him, Yinrun said, “Dear Matty. It was great to see how the friendships with your housemates developed.

“Your humor, kindness and sensitivity have always been at the heart of everything you have done.”

It comes after Big Brother fans were left confused over the ‘missing eviction’ in Wednesday’s episode.

On Tuesday it was announced that another of the remaining housemates: Henry, Jordan, Noky, Olivia, Matty and Yinrun would be leaving just 48 hours before the finale.

But the eviction was not aired as expected and explained by host AJ Odudu the night before.

Voting opened during Big Brother: Late and Live and closed at 6pm on Wednesday ahead of the evening show.

Fans took to Twitter to react to the lack of an eviction, as one wrote: “Not gonna lie, I feel briefly changed after that episode… Where was the eviction we were promised last night?!?!”

Another said: ‘Why did I spend all day looking forward to an eviction and buying special eviction snacks to waste an hour?!?’

Angry: The housemates all received their letters from home with words of encouragement from their family and friends - leaving not a dry eye in the house (Yinrun is seen)

A third wrote: ‘where is the eviction??’, while another said: ‘When is the eviction? #BBLL #BBUK.”

During the latest episode of Late and Live, AJ clarified that one star had been evicted earlier in the day and the identity was revealed during the next highlights show as part of a pre-recorded dumping.

However, those who watched the livestream after Late and Live speculated that Matty is now missing from the house.

Big Brother: Live Final airs on Friday evening at 9pm on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX.
