British weather: Met Office warns of heavy snow, rain AND wind set to hit Brits today as three yellow warnings are issued
HEAVY snow, rain and wind will batter Britons today as three yellow weather warnings are issued for parts of Britain.
Much of Britain is being told to brace itself winter conditions on Friday.
Forecasters predict strong gusts of wind will blow along the south coast disruption all morning.
PlymouthTorquay, Exeter, Portsmouth And Brighton can expect strong winds until about 8am.
Storms are believed to reach speeds of 60 miles per hour in affected areas as commuters head to work.
A yellow warning for rain has been introduced in other parts.
Heavy rain will flood much of Wales, including Hereford, on Friday. Gloucester and the south of England.
Those affected can expect flooding on the roads and delays in services.
It was issued at midnight and remains in effect until 3pm today.
And as we enter the first day of March, Northern Ireland has been warned snow.
“A period of rain and sleet, occasionally changing to snow, is expected on Friday morning,” the Met Office said.
A yellow warning was issued from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“Rain and snow in the south-west hills, spreading towards the north-east and becoming heavy at times, followed by heavy showers.
“Otherwise it is drier, although it rains in the far north. Windy and cold.”
