A bus has become stuck with two wheels on a concrete barrier after a collision with two cars on a busy road in Sydney.

Emergency services, including fire and rescue crews and ambulances, were called to the junction at Victoria Road and Lyons Road in Drummoyne, in the inner west of the town, after the accident at about 12.30am on Thursday.

The bus’s windshield is completely shattered while its two side wheels are stuck on the concrete divider between the lanes, leaving the bus at a 30-degree angle.

All occupants were freed from the bus and three men were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The injured include a driver who had to be extricated from a ute involved in the collision, the bus driver and a bus passenger.

Twenty other patients were checked at the scene by paramedics.

Emergency services, including fire and rescue crews and ambulances, were called to the junction at Victoria Road and Lyons Road in Drummoyne, Sydney’s inner west, following the crash which occurred just before 12:30am on Thursday.

One lane on Victoria Road in both directions is open, but motorists are advised to use Sydney Harbor Bridge or Church Street and Homebush Bay Drive instead.

Lyons Road is also closed between Victoria Road and Bayswater Street.

A witness, James Willis, said the bus driver told him he wasn’t sure how the crash unfolded.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” he said 2GB.

“Somehow he’s hit these bollards and he’s on two wheels on the other side of Victoria Road.”

Traffic has been significantly delayed while buses have been delayed for up to 20 minutes.

Fire and rescue workers NSW are working to remove the bus from the bulkhead.
