DELIVEROO and Uber Eats couriers are leaving couples hungry during their Valentine's Day strike.

As many as 3,000 riders and drivers will take action demand better wages and better working conditions.

Just eat and Stuart.com will also be affected as couriers working on different platforms refuse to work between 5pm and 10pm.

Organizer Delivery Job UK said: “Sacrificing a few hours for our rights is essential, rather than working incessantly for insufficient wages.

“Our request is simple: we want fair compensation.

“We are tired of being exploited and risking our lives every day… It is time for our voices to be heard.”

The strike organizers I want this increased to at least £5.

Deliveroo said passengers were paid at least the national living wage, although most earned much more.

Uber eats said: “We know the vast majority of couriers are happy.

“We regularly talk to couriers to see how we can improve their experience.”
