Chloe Lewis says she's finding Danny Flasher's divorce 'really hard' and it's 'the saddest thing I've ever experienced' after 'two terrible years' drove them apart

Chloe Lewis has given more insight into her split from boyfriend Danny Flasher.

The former TOWIE star, 33, announced in November that she had split from the businessman, with whom she shares son Beau, four, after seven years.

Chloe said she has had a “terrible” two years, which culminated in the break-up of their relationship.

Speaking of Kelsey Parker's Mum's The Word! podcast, Chloe said she was 'mourning' the loss of her relationship.

The reality star said she became increasingly lonely after moving to Dubai in 2020 for stockbroker Danny's job.

Chloe found herself struggling to be a full-time mother while her family was thousands of miles away.

She said: 'I lost myself. I didn't have much there. I didn't work there.

'It's been a very difficult two years between both of us and nothing really happened, it was just differences between people and not growing together, but growing apart.

'It was the saddest thing I've ever experienced. It has made me very strong, I can tell you that.'

Chloe added: “It's really hard because you never see yourself separating from that person. Danny is a fantastic father, he is really good. He adores Beau.”

After the podcast, the television personality opened up more about her split with a Q&A on her Instagram Stories.

When a follower asked if no contact with an ex after a breakup is the best solution, Chloe replied: 'I definitely think so! Out of sight out of mind. That obviously doesn't happen if you have a child together. It's a lot harder, but just focus on yourself.'

Another asked: 'Is Beau's father involved in this upbringing?', to which she said: 'Yes, very much. They are best friends and wouldn't have it any other way.'

Chloe said she hasn't started dating yet, she said: 'No, not dating… I've never been on a date.

'I had a very young boyfriend of ten years, was alone for six months and met Beau's father.'

Chloe also said she has made a number of changes in her life, including giving up alcohol, seeing her friends as much as possible and taking up pilates.

Last year, Chloe revealed in an Instagram Q&A that the couple had quietly split after a 'crap' and 'complicated' few years.

When fans asked if she was a “single mom,” she replied, “Yes, I am.” It's been a complicated few years.

'I'm quite private about my personal life, find it hard to deal with it all anyway, let alone have everyone's opinion. But I'm doing my best to show what I can do.'

While another fan asked how she deals with 'the feeling of not being where you want to be', Chloe replied: 'Well… if I'm completely honest, I thought I'd be married with three kids at 32.

'Life doesn't always go to plan (which I've found very difficult), but I think everyone has their own journey. You just have to live yours and not put too much pressure on yourself.

'Don't compare yourself to others. I had a real crappy two years and now I'm a single mom, but I have Beau, that's my focus and my priority.

'I always think: just do what you want to do and what makes you happy, and everything should fall into place. That's what I hope for anyway.

'I have life conversations with my father and a man's view on things always helps me. It's always important to have someone you can deliver to.'

Still, Chloe didn't rule out finding love and expanding her family again, as when asked if she wanted more children, she revealed: 'I've always wanted a big family.

'Becoming a mother was harder than I expected, but I love it, there is no feeling about it. So never say never!'

Chloe shot to fame when she joined TOWIE in 2015.

During her time, her on-off relationship with Jake Hall was well documented, before she eventually left the show after finding love with Danny.

She became pregnant with twins, but tragically lost one of her babies when she was eight weeks pregnant. Chloe then welcomed Beau in October 2019.

Speaking about the tragic loss, Chloe told OK! magazine: 'The doctor confirmed that the twins were identical. I thought that was so sad to hear. I kept thinking this one would come out and they would have looked exactly the same.”
