Cindy Morgan, the actress who scored her breakthrough on-screen role opposite Chevy Chase and Bill Murray in Caddyshack, has died at the age of 69.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed her death TMZ Saturday, noting she had died in the area.

Morgan was best known for her sizzling performance in Caddyshack, as the bombshell Lacey Underall.

In 2012, she talked about Caddyshack and her audition for the role: ‘Caddyshack was my first film and I will say the end product was so completely different, it was originally about the caddies.

“So initially I had nothing to lose by auditioning. It was fun. All I did was concentrate on making the person sweat. Look them in the eye, do what many women know how to do…

She also played a major role in the science fiction classic Tron (1982) as Lora, a computer programmer in the ‘real’ world, and Yori, her alter ego in the computer-generated world of the film.

Morgan also appeared in two different roles on the nighttime soap opera Falcon Crest for a total of three seasons.

The actress has also appeared in CHiPs, The Larry Sanders Show, Amazing Stories, The Love Boat, The Fall Guy, Vegas and Matlock, among others.

Although Caddyshack was her breakout role, it wasn’t her first. She had a small role in ’80s American Gigolo starring Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton, according to IMDb

Cindy was born in Chicago and after attending Catholic schools for twelve years, she attended Northern Illinois University where she was a DJ on the campus radio station.

After college, she worked for a local television station in Rockford, Illinois, where she was the weather girl and as a DJ on Chicago’s WDSM.

She moved to Los Angeles in 1978 to try acting.

Morgan booked the role of the Irish Spring Girl in advertisements while taking acting classes.

In later years, Morgan appeared in several short films and worked as a voiceover artist for video games.

Her last film role was in 2011 in Empty Sky and her last television appearance was in a 1994 episode of Under Suspicion.

In addition to acting, Morgan was passionate about her philanthropic work with U.S. Army veterans from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. She has worked to help alleviate the financial problems these veterinarians face.

She also worked to raise money for the Illinois Family Relief Fund, which helps the families of National Guard members, reservists and those on active duty.
