Fugitive Abdul Ezedi lured a mother to him before throwing chemicals on her after their relationship “went sour”, police said today.

The 35-year-old is still at large seven days later allegedly attacked a mother and her two children with a corrosive alkaline liquid in Clapham.

Today the Met revealed that Ezedi is now wanted for attempted murder due to the severity of his victim's injuries.

They also revealed chilling further details a week after the horror as the massive manhunt continues.

The suspect arranged a meeting with the 31-year-old mother after tracking down the victim at the two-star Clapham South Belvedere hotel.

He then attacked her and her daughters, ages three and eight, in their car, police said.

Commander Jon Savell also said there was a “very strong indication” the pair were in a relationship, which had since “broke up”.

A total of twelve people were injured the attack – including the 31-year-old mother and her daughters.

The mother remains in hospital and is “too ill to talk” due to her “significant injuries”.

The police believe that people who know where Ezedi is have not come forward. Anyone who helps him is arrested.

The Met has shared the fugitive's details with all UK police forces and ports and is offering a £20,000 reward leading to his arrest.

Speaking about where Ezedi could have disappeared to, Commander Savell said: “He could have gone north, he could have gone east, south, west or he could have gone abroad.”

The officer also revealed that the suspect may have been in the River Thames, but there is no evidence to support this.

Agents of the National Crime Agency, nicknamed “Britain's FBI“, were called in for the manhunt last night.

Searches have taken place at two homes in east London and three in Newcastle.

Police released images of officers entering a home in the city over the weekend where empty containers with caustic warnings on the labels were found.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an perpetrator.

He was taken into custody and later released on bail while investigations continued.

Police say forensic tests are “currently underway” to see if the containers contained the substance used in the attack.

They are too encouraging people not to approach “dangerous” fugitive Ezedi.

'DANGEROUS' VOLATILE
