Cranbourne road rage: Terrifying second incident almost ends in tragedy after Audi driver sent motorcyclist flying

Terrifying footage has emerged of a driver running into a motorcyclist, sending him flying into oncoming traffic in what appears to be an alleged road rage incident.

Motorcyclist Harley Robinson, 25, pulled up next to a blue Audi sedan in Cranbourne, Melbourne, last Saturday evening.

The police understand him punched the vehicle's mirror before driving away.

Investigators were told the dispute then escalated when the Audi driver allegedly accelerated at the motorcyclist.

Dashcam footage from an Uber in another lane showed Mr Robinson being thrown from his motorcycle and flying into the air.

It is alleged the motorcyclist pulled up next to an Audi and punched the side mirror before speeding off. The police are calling on people who witnessed the collision to come forward

Mr Robinson then veered into the path of oncoming traffic, where he was struck by another vehicle.

Miraculously, the 25-year-old from Cranbourne East was taken to Alfred Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police revealed the Audi driver, 21, from Clyde North, stopped after the collision.

The Uber's passenger, Liam Knoppien, said he went into “panic mode” when he saw the collision.

“I got a quick glimpse of him when he was on the ground and moving, but after that I couldn't really see what was going on,” he said.

“The impact of this incident has been profound, and Harley faces a physically and mentally challenging road to recovery that could be life-changing for a young 25-year-old,” he wrote.

'Not only did he lose his beloved motorcycle, but he also suffered serious injuries that left him unable to train in his lifelong passion: kickboxing, for which he traveled to Thailand and earned a championship belt in Muay Thai, proving that he is a is a real fighter.

''In addition, we are confronted with increasing medical bills and various expenses.

Jacob also said that in addition to his brother losing his “beloved motorcycle,” the crash also destroyed his phone, making communication more difficult.

On Facebook, XFC Gym Narre Warren posted an image of the hospitalized motorcyclist on a stretcher and wearing a neck brace.

One follower wrote: “Stay strong bro, we're all here rooting for your speedy recovery,” one said.

'This is terrible. He was quite fit and strong, so hopefully that counts for a lot. One of my favorite fighters, he has to pull through!!!' said another.

Victoria Police are investigating the road rage incident.

Anyone with information or dashcam or CCTV footage is asked to come forward.
