Danny Cipriani’s wife Victoria ‘devastated after seeing photos of him looking cozy with Strictly Come Dancing pro Jowita Przystal during their first training session for the Christmas special

Danny Cipriani’s wife Victoria has reportedly been left devastated after seeing photos of him getting close to Strictly Come Dancing professional Jowita Przystal.

Victoria is said to be stunned by the photos as her friends tell the story The sun: ‘It was like she was stabbed in the heart.’

The pair looked cozy as they left their first training session for the Strictly Christmas special on Wednesday.

The former rugby player, 36, has thrown himself into rehearsals just days after announcing his split from wife Victoria.

Jowita, 29, meanwhile, is believed to be single after splitting from Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice, 33, earlier this year.

A source told The Sun: ‘Victoria was devastated when she saw the pictures of Danny and Jowita.

‘It was only nine days ago that Danny announced on Instagram that they had split – which Victoria had no idea about.

‘That was painful enough for her.

“But to see her husband so close with another woman is absolutely heartbreaking for her.”

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Danny, Jowita and the BBC for comment.

Sources claimed the pair could make a ‘sizzling couple’ for the Strictly Christmas special and will spend many hours together during the two weeks of rehearsals before their performance.

The pair were pictured saying a fond farewell with a warm hug as they said their goodbyes before getting into their waiting cars.

According to reports, Danny’s participation in the Christmas special, which airs on Christmas Day, is a trial to see how well he could do if he wanted to take part in the series next year.

An insider said The sun: ‘The BBC bosses probably had an idea that they would be a thrilling duo on the dance floor, but on a personal level they probably didn’t expect them to get so close so quickly.

“They join a long line of stars and professionals who have grown closer as a result of long, intimate sessions in the rehearsal studio.”

Danny is one of six stars taking part in this year’s Strictly Christmas Special, alongside Keisha Buchanan, Tillie Amartey, Sally Nugent, Dan Snow and Jamie Borthwick.

He said: ‘I’ve always loved the concept of Strictly Come Dancing, it wasn’t something I ever thought I would do.

‘After discussing my own ideas and beliefs, I am very much looking forward to expressing myself through dance without limitations.

‘Strictly brings joy to everyone’s living room, it will be special to be part of that on Christmas Day.’

Last week, MailOnline exclusively revealed that Danny and his wife Victoria had discussed their relationship a fortnight ago following a series of ‘difficult’ arguments via text messages on his phone.

Danny released a statement at the time to announce the news, telling his Instagram followers that he “wished only the best” for his ex.

Victoria has since announced that she was shockingly “made aware of the situation at the same time as the public” in a now-deleted post.

The media personality opened up about the difficult time and apologized for her “emotionally charged reaction.”

She wrote, “Danny publicly announced our split without any prior notice or discussion with me. I was informed of the situation at the same time as the public, and this caused me great pain.

“I apologize if my reactions and responses seemed reactive or emotionally charged.

‘The truth is that I am still going through a difficult time, and it is challenging for me to see Danny speaking publicly about our divorce when I have not yet found the strength to process, adapt or heal .

Victoria concluded, “I really don’t want to get caught up in the fanfare. I’m sorry for the pain I caused.’

It comes after she reportedly had a furious row with model Isa Yasmijn after seeing her husband talking to Isa at an event.

Victoria is said to have confronted fitness trainer Isa at the event before later discovering the messages shared with Isa and other women.

It is claimed there was almost a clash between Victoria and Isa at a November 4 event hosted by rugby player Danny and self-help guru Garrett Kramer at the Four Seasons in London’s Mayfair.

A source said The sun: ‘There was something different about him. Normally Danny only has eyes for Vic, but he didn’t give her half the attention he normally would.’

They added: ‘It was like he didn’t really want her there. When they got to the lecture, Danny was playing to the crowd.

‘Vic found himself looking at and talking to other women, including Isa, and alarm bells went off.’

The couple, who married in April 2021, will hire divorce lawyers after they split a fortnight ago.

A source in their inner circle and close to the couple revealed that everything had been going well in the marriage until the summer.

But the source added: ‘Victoria had become increasingly unhappy in recent months. Things got tense and then she saw some text messages on his phone and that led to some difficult arguments between them and they have now broken up.”

The former England rugby player has left his home in Kent and is staying at another address, although he has visited there occasionally in the past week, the source said.

“They are both devastated by the breakdown of their marriage,” the source said.

Danny released a statement after the split, telling his 221,000 Instagram followers that he “wished only the best” for his ex.

But in a gaffe he claimed they split after four years of marriage – even though their wedding day was two years ago.
