A Delta pilot has gone viral after giving a wild speech outlining the incredibly strict “rules” passengers must follow during a flight — while calling himself a “servant leader.”
The man, whose identity is not known, sparked fierce reactions after a video surfaced on Instagram in which he shared the huge list of rules he “had to obey” everyone on the plane.
The clip showed the pilot communicating his orders to travelers via the plane’s intercom system.
He began to describe himself as the “servant leader” and “the captain of the ship.”

His orders include “obeying” seat belt signs, listening to flight attendants and being kind to other passengers
He explained that this meant he would be ‘responsible’ for the ‘safety’ of everyone – and ‘above all’ ensuring that those on board followed the ‘rules’.
“Everyone please look up to your servant leader,” he said. ‘Today I get to serve as captain of the ship.
‘What does that mean? It means that I am responsible for the safety of my ship, my crew, my passengers, my cargo, but above all the rules.’
The man then began listing the commands – including “obeying” seat belt signs, listening to flight attendants and being kind to other passengers.
“I want everyone to obey the seat belt sign during the flight, for your safety and the safety of everyone around you,” he continued.
“I want everyone to follow the orders and instructions of my flight attendants. And finally, I ask that we all have respect for each other.”
He concluded with: ‘Are there any questions?’
It appeared the plane was headed to Atlanta and was delayed, but it is unclear where it departed.
A travel blogger named Jay Robert uploaded the video to his Instagram account this week, where it quickly went viral, but it is unknown who originally filmed it.

“I love this captain. As a former Delta flight attendant, I loved that we had so many pilots who came from the US Air Force,” one person explained.
“They may not have the best bedside manners, but they are qualified.”
