‘You cleanse and moisturize early in the evening (5-8 p.m.). Then wait until bedtime (9:00 PM – 11:00 PM) to apply your Retinol independently. This maximizes skin hydration and strengthens your skin barrier to better absorb strong actives such as Retinol or tretinoin (Retin-a prescription).’

‘Additionally, this technique does not reduce the effectiveness or absorption of retinol like the retinol sandwich method or skin cycling. It actually enhances the effects of your skincare products while reducing potential side effects.”

And last but not least, she told DailyMail.com that she recommends medicated sanitary pads with glycolic acid and salicylic acid for the armpits to stop body odor and lighten dark armpits.

‘My personal favorite is [my brand’s] Clarify Pads three times a week,” said Dr. Shirazi. ‘It comes with 60 pads and the formula is gentle enough for sensitive underarms.’
