Donna Kelce reviews son Travis Kelce’s outfits

Travis Kelcehis sense of style makes his mother, Donna Kelcegiggle.

Donna, 71, analyzed Travis’ wardrobe exclusively with We weekly while her collaboration with Ancestry.

First, we showed Donna a photo of Travis, 34, in the infamous curtain pants he wore prior to the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Minnesota Vikings in October. The bottoms made headlines after many fans thought the look was similar to the bronze curtains you see on girlfriends Taylor Swift‘s “Midnight Mayhem With Me” TikTok series from October 2022. (When asked about the possible Easter egg, Travis’ stylist said Danielle Salzedotold Us earlier this month: “When people connect authentically, they have serendipitous coincidences.”)

For her part, Donna called the velvet pants “nice.”

“He looks like he’s hot,” she said Us while you laugh. “I think Travis usually wears things to make people laugh. He doesn’t take himself seriously. I hope everyone realizes that, but that’s a nice outfit. I’m sure it was a cold day, so that was probably appropriate.”

Donna then shared her thoughts on the mint green suit – with wide-leg trousers – that Travis donned at the Quarterback premiered in Los Angeles in July. (Donna attended the soirée with her son and opted for a beige ensemble with a lace duster.) ‘I think he and Pat Mahomes wore the same outfit that night. They had the same suit on, same color and everything,” Donna recalled Us, referencing Mahomes rocking a straighter version of the suit in the same shade. “That’s a nice one.”

Then we showed Donna a photo of the ensemble Travis wore when he had a Saturday evening live afterparty with Swift on October 15. He opted for a plush vest decorated with bird illustrations, paired with coffee-colored pants and white sneakers. “He likes those jackets with prints on them,” Donna said. “They make him feel very comfortable and he enjoys supporting emerging designers.”

Donna told me Us Travis likes to experiment with fashion and doesn’t ask his mother for style advice. “He’s his own man,” Donna said, chuckling.

The Kelce family matriarch wrapped up her time as fashion police by sharing her thoughts on the three-piece patterned denim look Travis rocked at the Kelce Jam in Kansas in April.

“At least it matches,” Donna said of the outfit, which included a bucket hat, zip-up jacket and sloppy pants. “It’s neat,” she said of the coordinated pieces. “He was at Kelce Jam and he knew it was going to be a long night. It was probably the most comfortable thing he had.”

Besides Travis, Donna and ex-husband Ed Kelce share son Jason Kelce – a center for the Philadelphia Eagles – who isn’t as obsessed with fashion as Travis.

Travis hilariously taunted his brother for his style after Jason, 36, wore shorts and flip-flops to the premiere of his Amazon Prime Video special. Kelcein September.

“You actually dressed up,” Travis joked during an episode of the siblings’ podcast, “New Heights.” Jason explained that he was going to wear jeans, but his wife… Kyliewas ‘late’ and ‘forgot’ his pants at home.

“Why didn’t Jason bring Jason some jeans?” Travis asked, and Jason simply joked, “Because I was in football.”

Jason added, “I needed the jeans for after football, and I’m not going to wear jeans all day. That doesn’t sound nice. I now realize I can’t blame Kylie for this.”
