Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson admits ‘regret’ not reconciling with his father before he died: ‘It can be complicated, but get that drama behind you’

Dwayne Johnson shared a poignant message to his fans and followers on Father’s Day.

The Moana star, 51, opened up about having one of the biggest fights of his life with his father, Rocky Johnson, just months before he passed away at age 75.

The Fast and Furious actor – who has been open about battling depression after breaking up with his ex-wife – shared a video on his Instagram.

Johnson explained that he didn’t get a chance to apologize to his father before he died and that he would give anything to have another Father’s Day with him.

“I had to call back all my boys who – like me – no longer have our dads to say Happy Father’s Day to. My old man died suddenly a few years ago,” his post began.

“Unfortunately, we got into a fight about a month before and I never reconciled with him or even had a chance to say goodbye,” explains the Jumanji actor.

“So for me every Father’s Day has become very difficult because there is a lot of pain. But every Father’s Day is also one of my happiest days, because I have three wonderful daughters who say to me: I love you and Happy Father’s Day.’

The Fast X actor is the father of Simone Johnson, 21, with ex-wife Dany Garcia, as well as Jasmine Johnson, seven, and Tiana Johnson, five, who he shares with his wife, Lauren Hashian.

“To my boys out there, if your father is still around – consider it a blessing. Even if you and your father are going through complicated things.

“I’ve been there and I understand. But do your best to reconcile and put that drama behind you and make amends with your father.

‘It is important. Because the alternative is regret and I don’t want that for you. Happy Father’s Day. We are all lucky guys. “I will ensure”‘

The post was the second Father’s Day video he shared on Instagram.
