Over the years, Dancing with the stars has crowned numerous winners.
In June 2005, ABC launched the American version of the British series Come strictly dance. Each season a celebrity teams up with a professional dancer as they try out a new style of ballroom dancing.
Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman have been judges since the series’ debut, along with a professional dancer Julianne Hough he briefly entered the table for seasons 19-21, and then again for seasons 23 and 24. During season 29, Goodman was also replaced, as he was unable to travel to LA due to the coronavirus pandemic. Former prof Derek Hough became the third judge and has since become a permanent part of the panel.
At the end of each season, one star will claim the iconic mirrorball trophy. After Goodman’s death in 2023, the competition series’ coveted prize was named after the late jury.
