Taylor Swift loved being the girl in the stands amid her blossoming romance with Travis Kelce.
The “Anti-Hero” singer made her first appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023, watching them beat the Chicago Bears from the Kelce family’s private suite. After cheering along with the tight end’s mother, Donna Kelceshe and Travis celebrated the win together at a private event with his teammates.
Swift was in the stands again the following month at the Chiefs vs Jets game in New York – along with many of her famous friends – with cameras showing Swift’s reactions throughout the game. While discussing the NFL’s extensive coverage of him and his brother by Jason Kelce New Heights’ podcast, Travis hinted that the league may have gone too far with their coverage of Swift.
“I like it when they show who is at the game. I think it adds a little more atmosphere, adds a little more to what you’re watching,” Travis explained in the podcast at the time. “But at the same time, I think … they’re definitely overdoing it a little bit, especially in my situation.”
In response to Travis’ comments, the NFL spoke out about their decision to spotlight the athlete and his romance with Swift through the 2023-2024 season.
