But not Saffron Marie, who recently revealed she feeds the local fox community and prepares a special dish for them consisting of vegetables and even cult-favorite chocolate.

Via TikTok, the young stunner from Great Britain shared the recipe and advised everyone else to do the same.

“Feed your wildlife wherever and whenever you can.”

She said inside her video: ”It’s actually very simple – and I don’t know why more people don’t do it.

“Any leftover food you have, just make it for them and give it to them.”

This time the feast consisted of several boiled puddings, some delicious spring rolls, finely ground pieces of the gourmet-favorite Toblerone chocolate and a few pears.

Once all the ingredients were put in a plastic bag, Saffron also poured in a can of spaghetti hoops, which she wasn’t too keen on eating as they weren’t Heinz.

Meanwhile, the spring rolls had apparently been in her freezer for a while and Saffron thought she would probably never be able to eat them.

“I was afraid there wouldn’t be enough flavor, so I poured some syrup on top.”

Unfortunately for the animal lover, the foxes weren’t there when she arrived at the nearby green space – so she decided to just throw everything on the grass instead.

We live off-grid in the woods – we built our cabin from scratch and we even have bears come to visit

”I knew they would come and get it at night, probably not on camera.

‘I went out a few times to look, but they just weren’t there.

“But when I walked out in the morning, all the food was gone, except for a few small pieces.”

However, despite Saffron’s best intentions, the clip quickly racked up over 400,000 views, leaving dozens of people completely baffled.

One said: ”This is why they feel comfortable coming into people’s homes.”

“Why are we feeding foxes now!?” someone else wanted to know.

”I love this but it hurt me to see the Toblerone go in, it’s so good,” a third chimed in.

”It’s a nice thought, I used to do it but was advised not to as the foxes start to rely on you and lose their natural hunting instincts,” a fourth revealed.

Fortunately, it wasn’t all negative, as there were also a lot of people who thought the act was quite healthy.

“This is so cute,” one exclaimed.

“I always put my leftovers in a bowl and let my friend take it to the woods, and the next day he’s gone,” said a fellow animal lover.

“My dad did this and he could see them on the cameras,” wrote another.

Should I feed foxes?

Chat with The GuardianTrevor Williams, the founder of Fox Rescue Charity the Fox Projectadvised it is best to find another use for your leftovers.

”Generally we recommend that people don’t feed foxes as it will undermine their territory if they don’t make the effort to venture further afield.

”Also, foxes don’t just take what they need, they take what is available and bury it for later.

“And if it keeps popping up in the neighbors’ flower pots, they may eventually call in someone to kill the foxes.”

In fact, according to the experts at Fantastic pest controlwhile foxes can they eat chocolate, they really do should not have to doing.

”There are chemicals in chocolate that can be very toxic to foxes and all canines.

“That’s not to say that the melted chocolate left on a wrapper in the trash or dropped in the park will be enough to kill a fox, and just like with dogs, not every individual has a strong negative reaction to chocolate.”

“According to the principle of ‘better safe than sorry’, chocolate should be kept away from any member of the dog family.”
