Although traveling solo is a fun experience full of adventure, it also comes with dangers, especially as a woman.

Even though the industry is changing and more and more young women are becoming confident enough to take the leap on their own, things can go wrong quickly and whether you feel safe or not, it can make or break your journey.

A travel influencer has passed on her knowledge and shared the five countries where she felt safest and would recommend to others.

The video posted by Chloe Jade has over 33,000 likes, with commenters sharing their own suggestions.

It comes after the TikToker previously highlighted four countries in which she felt unsafe as a female traveler.

Benin

Benin is the first country where Chloe felt safe as a woman. She explains that transportation is not a problem because “it is very easy to get around by motorcycle, taxi or hitchhiking.

She added: ‘I felt incredibly safe at the markets and the food is really good.

“Everyone is just super overly nice, warm energy and I felt comfortable the whole time.”

The pro-traveler added clips of her riding through the streets on a motorcycle and meeting locals.

Saudi Arabia

Next on the list is Saudi Arabia, with Chloe saying she felt safe there despite hearing rumors before arriving.

She said: “I heard a lot of things about this country before I went and I don’t want to ignore or ignore all the human rights abuses that still happen to international workers, but as a woman I felt extremely safe here.

Adding: “I would have to say as a foreign female traveler. No one ever bothered me and I wasn’t worried about crime at all.’

However, some viewers were shocked by the recommendation, with one user writing: ‘Saudi Arabia really? Interesting, people told me it wasn’t. Good to know’.

Another agreed with Chloe, saying: ‘I felt so safe in Saudi Arabia. Everyone was so friendly and so respectful. The men really don’t bother you. Never before have I been treated with so much respect as a woman.’

The Philippines

Another favorite for the TikToker is The Phillipines, where she shared clips of herself riding a motorcycle, eating fruit and swimming at a waterfall.

She told viewers, “I’ve been going on and on about how much I love the Philippines.

“Filipinos are some of the most hospitable, friendly and fun if you’re going to generalize about a country.

‘I feel safe walking around at night. I’ve never been in an uncomfortable situation. “All I’m saying here is that if you’re around a lot of foreigners, that’s your only risk, because foreigners obviously come from other countries and are unpredictable.”

Bangladesh

Fourth on the list of places where she felt safest is Bangladesh.

She explained, “Just the excitement that locals have to meet foreigners because they want to show you their country is super heartwarming.

“The whole time I was in Bangladesh, I felt like people were trying to take care of me, make sure I got where I needed to go, and enjoy myself in the process.”

However, there were many comments that disagreed with her assessment.

Someone wrote: ‘Haha, I love this for you! But as a Bangladeshi woman who lived and grew up in Bangladesh for nineteen years, I have never felt safe as a woman.’

Another added: ‘I’m shocked to see Bangladesh on the list, being Bangladeshi myself it’s quite unsafe but for foreigners they’re somehow nice lmao please stay safe during your visit.’

Rwanda

Finally, the TikToker also recommended Rwanda as a place where she felt safe.

She said: “I feel like most people who haven’t been to too many parts of the African continent are always very surprised about Rwanda.

“Coffee is really good in Rwanda, the roads are incredible in Rwanda, there are a lot of programs for women in Rwanda.

‘Traveling around Kigali by motorcycle is super easy and it felt incredibly safe as a woman.’

She ended the video with the warning: “Of course I can’t talk about everyone’s experience in all these countries, but these were just a few places where I felt very safe and at home.”

Addition in the caption ‘I feel like I should point out that traveling is very subjective and these are just my experiences.

“Everyone is treated differently based on what they look like and where they come from. It’s the sad reality.

“Overall, these countries made me feel safe in the sense that my belongings weren’t stolen, the people were nice, I was safe at night, and so on.

‘It takes a lot to feel comfortable and safe during a trip. But my number 1 tip is: always use your intuition.’
