BARCELONA are reportedly looking to launch a sensational transfer spree for Gabriel Martinelli as they “closer in” on the ace.
The 22-year-old Arsenal winger moved to the Emirates in 2019 and after a number of injury problems, he is now producing top form.
The Brazilian has scored 20 goals and provided seven assists since the start of last season and is one of Mikel Arteta's key figures.
He is still under contract until 2027, but that has not stopped interest from growing.
Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona “find it necessary to sign a left winger” during the summer transfer.
And Martinelli is on a three-person shortlist of potential targets they are making plans for.
Another Premier League striker also joins him on the list.
Kaouru Mitoma from Brighton is also under contract until 2027.
But the Japan international's explosive performances for the Seagulls have convinced Barcelona he can make the leap to a “big one”.
Napoli's Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, 23, is the other player targeted, although he is also under fire until 2027.

Martinelli already has some experience with Barcelona.
He was rejected by both them and Manchester United after trials as a teenager.
He discussed his short spell at LaLiga, he said The Players' Stand: “I went to La Masia in Barcelona.
“I practiced with Ansu Fati when I went there. We became friends and I stayed there for 15 days.
“It didn't work out then either, they didn't want me. But four or five months later Arsenal signed me.”
