The video went viral with almost 35,000 views as it came at a time when many people were looking for tips on how to care for their hair.
Winter can be damaging to hair due to cold temperatures and strong winds, combined with drying central heating.
More than 2,700 people liked Shaneal's video, and many said in the comments section that they would try her advice for themselves.
The first tip she shared can be tried for free and done anywhere.
An article published by Healthline suggests that scalp massages “increase hair thickness by stretching the cells of the hair follicle.
“It is also thought that a scalp massage may help dilate the blood vessels under the skin, stimulating hair growth,” say researchers.
Shaneal followed up the winter hair care video with one after shows her hair growth over two years.
“March 2022, hair mask uses hibiscus, length: above bra strap,” the text read as she showed off a clip of her hair from when it was shorter.
“January 2024, hair mask used henna gloss, length: waist length,” the caption read as she shared a recently taken photo.
The beauty enthusiast shared that a protective hairstyle is the biggest factor in achieving her hair growth.
“Two years difference [exhaling] I love mini twists so much,” she said.
Viewers were amazed, with one commenting: “Omg the growth [heart eyes].”
“You can take good care of your hair,” said another.
