The 21-year-old had one hand on the wheel and his phone in the other – and although the lanes appear largely empty, a large truck approaches behind him.

Disaster strikes when the truck suddenly crashes into the sales promoter from behind, throwing him from his bike and rolling onto the embankment.

Emergency medics pronounced Mohammed dead at the scene.

He was from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, and was traveling to Kuantan with friends for a motorcycle rally.

Maran Police Chief Inspector Mohamad Zamri Mohamad Zaber said: “The accident occurred when Sharfie’s Yamaha Y15 collided with a truck traveling in the same direction towards Kuantan.

“Both vehicles were in the slow lane. The victim was thrown from his machine and landed on the road.

“He died on the spot.”

The 47-year-old truck driver was uninjured and may not have seen Mohammad as he drove along the East Coast Expressway.

The case is under investigation for suspected death caused by reckless or dangerous driving.

Mohammad’s death on March 2 is the second related to the two-day RXZ Fighter motorcycle event.

On March 1, night market operator Muhammad Lokman Abdul Aziz, 29, was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a metal railing along the same road.

It comes as a desperate mother has set up a fundraising campaign to bring her son home for treatment after suffering horrific injuries in a motorcycle accident.

Adrian Wallace, 34, was hit by a car while on holiday in Phuket and is now in a coma, his mother Julie Hopkins told The Sun.

Now that Adrian is “unresponsive,” the family has no way of knowing whether he received medical care insurance or how to access it, and are now being charged fees of up to £64,000.
