“Things we've discovered since we got the keys to our 1960s house,” she said.

Nicole revealed that when the couple demolished the 'monstrosity' of a wardrobe, they revealed a secret door, which even the estate agents didn't know about.

Behind the door was a large room, which now gives the couple plenty of extra storage space, or even room to add another bedroom.

The couple explained that the previous owners suffered from dementia and so may have forgotten about the secret room.

The hidden room wasn't even the only secret of the house.

The pair found a hidden wine cellar under a cupboard.

High in the cellar were bottles and bottles of wine, to date back to 1984.

Wine has no expiration date and if stored properly, the best wines can last up to 100 years.

This means that the couple could celebrate moving into the building by opening the 40-year-old tippels, purchased by the previous owners.

One person in the video's comments section even suggested they could sell the wine.

“Those 1984 reds cost around £140 a bottle,” they said.

In addition to the hidden rooms, the couple also encountered some unwanted surprises when they started the renovation.

The boiler, which they had been told was only two years old, was actually installed in 2010, meaning the couple had to look for a new one.

When stripping the walls, they also realized that the previous owners had applied layers and layers of wallpaper on top of each other.

Some walls had six layers of wallpaper with different patterns pasted on them.

The biggest surprise of all was a card given to the couple by the children of the house's previous owners.

On the card they revealed that their mother and father had bought the house in 1962 for just £3,141.

What a bargain!

Nicole's video has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has already been viewed more than 400,000 times on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users rushed to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on the house.

One user said: “I would be so happy with the hidden wine.”

Another user said: “Wow. Looks like it has so much potential.”

A third user said: “3,000 euros for a house is ridiculous. And they wonder why young people struggle to buy a house today.”
